How to Fix a Refrigerator Door That Pops When Opening & Closing
Many refrigerator product sales sheets include self-closing fridge door features. Both freezer and refrigerator doors feature hard nylon cams around the bottom hinge pins and at the bottom of each fridge door.
Cams are designed to use the door’s weight to make sure it closes by itself when gently pushed. The cams will eventually wear out and make a popping or clunking sound when the door opens or closes. The noise can be reduced by replacing the nylon closing cam. Your doors will continue to close on their own.
1. To pull the power cord from a wall outlet, reach behind the refrigerator. The water supply to your refrigerator door gaskets is off without you having to turn it off.

11. Use the screws you have previously removed to attach the freezer hinge cover onto the refrigerator’s top. Screws should not be tightened. A level should be placed on top of your freezer. Before tightening the middle hinge screws, make sure that the door is level.
12. Connect the wire harness. Reattach the top hinge cover screw by using the screws that you have previously taken off. Connect the water line to the bottom of your refrigerator.
