The fridge spends slightly more of its time up above 40, though much of this comes from the butter bin, which is typically the hottest spot in the fridge by design. And while the bottom of the LG model’s door also averaged a temperature above 40, it spent less of its time above that benchmark and ran slightly colder than Kenmore’s did.

Freezer issues

We were informed that there are freezer problems and frost in the freezer, even though it is frost-free.

Ice Maker Problems

There are three sizeable bins inside the right-hand door, including one that can hold gallon-size containers. The left door is equipped with three decent-size bins, and the icemaker sits inside the door itself rather than extend into the refrigerator compartment – a hallmark of the best refrigerators. Typically makes 3 to 4 pounds of ice a day-but according to our repair data, an icemaker may also add reliability problems.

We have heard of ice dispensers making a grinding sound and the flap opening or closing without being prompted to do so.

Plenty of room and the lighting in it is superb! I can see what I need too and everything is laid out very nicely inside. Although this model is at the lower end of the Kenmore door freezer market, it still has excellent storage space and a wide range of features making it an excellent value.

Design/ features

The Kenmore Elite 73025 was designed for parents with young children who don’t want the extra cost of intelligent features. You won’t have any fingerprints on your kids with the smudge-proof stainless steel finish. The pantry drawer is excellent for snack storage.

While the lack of a through-the-door water dispenser might be a problem for some, it can make life easier for parents with small children. The unit comes with an internal ice maker for a constant cubed ice supply.

This refrigerator has a trim water dispenser that takes up less space than most, and the ice dispenser can release both crushed and cubed ice.

To prevent accidental spillages from spreading, the shelves are made of thick tempered glass. Aside from the “Pantry Drawer” that separates the freezer from the fridge, the boxy Kenmore door styling isn’t much different than what you would have seen on the show floor seven or eight years ago.

If you want a stainless steel finish, you’ll have to upgrade to the nearly identical Kenmore Elite 7248 3 (emphasis mine).

You can customize your storage space with adjustable shelves. Two humidity-controlled crisper drawers will keep your produce fresher for longer.

Although it has fewer bells-and-whishes than the higher-end models like the Samsung Rf23M8570SG and Bosch B36CL80SNS that are more expensive, this is why it’s priced lower.

This French door refrigerator has enough storage space to serve a big family. It also includes large door bins and a door-in-door feature that consolidates space while conserving energy. Though they aren’t exactly the same, that fridge is the closest of LG’s current offerings to the Kenmore 72482, giving it a good pedigree. Designwise, the 72482 is hardly a standout.

Performance
